Leadership at New Covenant Church
Donald Limmer, Pastor of Congregational Care
contact Donald
Donald desires the words of Paul to be true of his aspirations…"More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord…" Philippians 3:8-11 (NASB)
Donald's spiritual roots were shaped in the rich traditions of a Reformed church in northern New Jersey. A bachelor's degree in Education from Wheaton College equipped him to teach in the West Chicago, IL, school system. Meanwhile, his marriage to Milly, a Wheaton alum, introduced him to how the Reformation played itself out in Congregational Church history in Britain and America. After completing an M. Div. at Westminster Theological Seminary (Philadelphia), Donald was ordained through the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference, and has served churches in Pennsylvania, Illinois, Connecticut and Ohio.
Growth Groups (small group ministry), men's ministries, visitation, new member assimilation and pastoral counseling are areas of New Covenant that direct his attention. When needed, Donald answers calls to assist the Naperville Police Department as a volunteer Chaplain.
Donald and Milly live just west of downtown Naperville, enabling them to walk many places and attend community events. Their son Richard works in retail in downtown Naperville, while their daughter Jane and her husband Joe live in New York City.
