How do I get connected at New Covenant?

Looking for a way to plug in and start building some meaningful relationships? Start receiving our weekly emails. These emails provide details about the opportunities to connect that are listed below:

College Group
We are excited to be on the campus of North Central but welcome all college age students. Join our facebook group to get more details about our meetings and upcoming events.

Community Chats:
Once a month on a Sunday evening we gather as a church at someone’s home or at a park, to share a meal and to hear a short talk from the Bible on a topic which helps mature us as a Christian community. If you have been coming for awhile this is a great place to meet new people in a fun, informal atmosphere.

Growth Groups:
Besides regularly attending the Sunday morning service, the best way to get connected at New Covenant is to join a Growth Group. These are small groups which meet every Sunday night (except the night of Community Chats). We encourage you to choose a group which is near your neighborhood and is able to meet your childcare needs. Click on each marker on this map to find current locations and contact information. The goal of these groups is fellowship through the Word. Thus, the centerpiece of our time together is the study of God’s Word.

Please contact Pastor Andrew Fulton if you’d like to join a group.

Men's Ministry

Mondays with a Man: One of the ways Pastor O’Donnell seeks to pastor New Covenant Church is through shepherding each man who is committed to this church. Part of the way he seeks to accomplish this is through having a lunch with you. At least once a year, he plans on traveling to your workplace, seeing where you work and taking you out to lunch while having a good conversation about your spiritual walk.

Second Saturdays: On the second Saturday of each month, the men of our church gather at Pastor O’Donnell’s house from 8:00-9:00 AM to study the Book of Proverbs and its practical themes on the tongue, pride, anger, purity, marriage, work, politics, and so on. At least once a year we include young men (our sons) in the church for a special breakfast. We call this Breakfast with the Boys.

Book of the Year: Each year the church gives a free book to all the men in hopes that they will read and learn from it. This year’s book is Douglas Wilson’s Reforming Marriage.

Iron Sharpens Iron: We offer accountability groups for men who desire to grow in the Lord with a few other men (2-3 men per group). These groups also can function as Bible Studies, if the group so decides.

In the future, we hope to add new programs to our ministry—e.g., outreach Bible studies at the workplace and a men’s retreat. For the time being, we encourage our men to join other churches in the area in their gospel work.

Our men’s ministry is lead by our Senior Pastor, Douglas O’Donnell. Please contact him for more information

Mercy Ministries:
A great way to connect with others is to serve alongside them, sharing the mercy of Christ to those in spiritual and/or physical need. Pastor Matt Newkirk, along with our Deacons, helps organize various programs and events which demonstrate the mercy of God in Christ. For more information please contact Matt.

Women's Ministries
A Cord of Three Strands (Women’s Prayer/Accountability Groups):  To connect with others in the church on a small scale, interested women are placed in groups of three and encouraged to set their own ‘schedule’ for weekly/bi-weekly prayer and accountability. The groups also have the option of reading a book related to Christian maturity, with a list of recommended resources provided by Women’s Ministry.  The timeframe for these groups is one year, beginning in the fall, with additional groups created throughout the year as newcomers express interest.  For more information, contact Peggy Lynne Cupp.

Handiwork: We are created in the image of a Creator, a Creator of beauty--an Artist. Just as the heavens declare God's glory, our creativity expresses the reality that God (in whose likeness we are made) is glorious. Edith Schaeffer wrote "a Christian, above all people, should live artistically, aesthetically, and creatively" because we "represent the Creator," (although imperfectly) on earth. The women of New Covenant affirm this truth by meeting on the first Friday of each month to express and nurture their God-given creativity through 'handiwork', broadly defined as anything that can be done with their hands: painting, stamping, sketching, scrapbooking, knitting, embroidery, card-making, sewing, etc.

Discover a new skill, be inspired by rich conversation, enjoy beautiful music, both live and recorded. We'd love to have you join us whatever your interest or ability—7:00 P.M., the O'Donnell home (205 N Sleight St., Naperville, IL).

Little Oaks, our gathering of moms, babies, toddlers, and preschoolers on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month (9:30am - 11:00am), meets for fellowship and play at a rotating list of parks and homes. This group is always open to new faces and friends. For more information, contact Rachel Fulton at 630-577-7607.

Sisters Together: To connect with the women of the church as a whole, join us at our quarterly gatherings which combine biblical instruction on Christian virtues with practical homekeeping skills.  We meet in a home on a Thursday night, for fellowship, teaching, song and prayer.  For more information, contact Emily O’Donnell.

Youth Group
Our youth, ages 6th-12th grades, meet every Sunday night (except the first Sunday of the Month) to study God’s word together. This meeting gives us a chance to learn from each other as well as from leaders who are gifted to serve youth. Our weekly meeting is at 5:30pm at the Fulton’s house For more information contact Pastor Andrew Fulton.
